My achievements

Wow, wow... I'll be turning 7 months old this Sunday!

These are the things I've achieved so far...
- I can turn back and forth
- I am crawl, but slightly
- I can clap my hands
- I smile readily at anyone, even to strangers
- I am eating more solids now - porridge, fruits, etc (Grandma is proud of me for having a good appetite)
- I scream, especially whenever I am happy and excited, or when I see children, especially boys. (hee! it's normal of any girl's reaction, isn't it?)
- I grab whatever things within my reach. I like papers, boxes, containers and anything which makes a sound when I shake it.
- I can sit upright on my own, so whenever I'm out for dinner, mummy and daddy will place me in the baby-chair. But they will be so terribly busy keeping me occupied, and also busy helping me pick up the things i fling onto the floor.
- I am trying to talk. My favourite "words" are "maa-maa". Daddy thinks I am trying to call "Mummy". Of course, Mummy is thrilled when I "call" out for her. Whenever I am upset, I will say "maaa..." and will open up my arms, a sign that I want her to carry me into her arms.
- I am learning to talk over the phone, whenever Mummy calls home from work.
- I now choose the person that I want to be carried by. If I do not want to be carried by anyone, I will simply turn my back against the person. If I want, all I will do is to open my arms wide.

Isn't it a long list of things I can do. This list will be expanding, so keep a lookout for more.

Welcome 2009!

How exciting, I am going to turn 1 year old in 2009!

On New Year's Eve, the whole family had dinner at a Japanese Restaurant. But I was a little (yah, just a little) mischievous that night. Hmm... I couldn't stop screaming. I think I was just excited because it was a happy occasion. But Daddy was not happy with me screeching non-stop, afraid I would disturb the others. So he, mummy and uncle nick took turns to carry me outside the restaurant. Finally I feel asleep on Daddy's shoulder.

After dinner, we took a walk down to Marina Square and Mummy was hoping I could stay awake till 12 midnight to witness the fireworks. Were you there that night? Gosh, it was crowded everywhere. Everyone was tired by 10plus and decided not to squeeze with the crowd and you know what the main reason was - Ariel is tired and cranky, so better go home. Hmm.. I was tired, but I don't mind watching the fireworks. Anyway, we headed home... I managed to catch it on TV, and I got so excited, I started jumping, screaming and flinging my hands in the air.

Thank You!

Thank you, Aunties & Uncles for the gifts you bought me. I asked Mummy to help me take photographs of some of these gifts - toys, books and clothes. I like them all! Keep them coming, okay?

Xmas Celebrations

U must be curious how a little girl like me would have spent my first Xmas.Well, all I could say it.... Grrreeat! Being the smallest and youngest in the family, everyone paid so much attention to me and everyone remembered my share of gifts. Mummy said I must learn to say "Thank You!". So I will. In my next entry, I will show you the gifts I received and also thank all Uncles and Aunties for being so sweet to me. Muacks to you, you, you!

A quick peak into what we did...

We started off with phototaking, dinner, and of course, I joined in at the dinner table as well.. sitting in my high-chair. Then we had exchange of gifts. Just look at all the smiles on everyone's faces and you would believe me that we had so much fun!
