Thanking God for his blessings and protection
Mummy is feeling sad because a friend has passed away. It was a very sudden piece of news and her heart sank when she heard about it. Mummy said she and Daddy always Thank God for me because I am God's gift to them. They pray that God will always watch over me, God will protect me and keep me safe from harm. They also ask God to bless me with love and joy and that I will grow up to be a happy girl and to be a blessing to the people around me. AMEN!

Drinking on my own? Sure, I can
I surprised Mummy this weekend by feeding myself. Yay! Finally, I did it! Yes, that means I held on to my own milk bottle and fed myself. Mummy was so proud of me, kept smiling and looking at me while I drank my milk and she also kept asking Daddy to watch me. Guess what, I even knew how to tilt the bottle when the milk was almost finishing.
Oh, another update. I have learnt how to use the word "milk". Whenever I crave for milk, I will walk to the kitchen, point to my tin of milk (I drink similac, just in case you are interested to know) and say "milk, milk".
Actually, Mummy and Daddy think I am addicted to milk these days. Even before the feeding time, I will "cry" for milk. I have been having quite a good appetitie these days. Let me share with you my intake of food for just this Sunday.
9.30am : Drank almost 150ml of diluted barley water (yes, I fed myself).
10.30am : I asked for milk and was given 180ml....
11.30am: Drink a bit more barley and ate some biscuits
12.30am: I was fed mashed pumpkin.
1.50pm: Asked for milk and Mummy thought I was not serious, but I surprised her by finishing the bottle of 180ml of milk.
3pm: Asked for milk (again?!!) but Mummy said "No" to me this time. Instead, she shared a bit of her bread with me. On top of it, gave me a piece of wafer biscuits.
It's no wonder I have developed a little paunch. Ah well, the adults actually thought it is cute.

Me, growing up gifted?
I have been attending classes every Saturday at "GUG" since I was 10 mth old. What's "GUG"? It's the name of my school and it's called "Growing Up Gifted" and it's at United Square. Mummy explained that I am going to school because they want me to get to know friends, learn to get along with them and also learn new things.
Going to school is fun but I am not always a good girl in class. Mummy has to attend every lesson with me and she has to watch over me because I get distracted and start walking around in the class. Hmm... No, I am not the only one who does that. Other of my little friends do that too. I guess it's difficult for us to sit still for too long.
Our teachers will always start by singing the song "Everybody sitting down, sitting down, sitting down. Everybody sitting down, on the mat".
Another song I like is this "Good afternoon, Good afternoon. It's nice to see your smiling face. Good afternoon, good afternoon, to You and to Me, Hi-Five". Our teachers will do the Hi-Five with all of us. Now, I have learnt to walk around the class and do the Hi-Five with all my little friends.
We will always have project time. I think Mummy does not like this session very much. Why? Because teacher always lets us play with paint and she is always so scared that I will dirty myself or my clothes - which I do. She will be "naughty" and do the painting for me, when our teachers say to let the babies try it on their own.
Sorry, I've got no pictures to show you because Mummies and Daddies are not allowed to take pictures of their babies in class.

Swimming, for the first time
I went for my first swim a couple of weeks back, during the National Day holidays. On that same weekend, Mummy and Daddy bought me my swimwear. Looks like a diving suit, right.
As it was my first time going into the waters, Daddy and Mummy decided to take me to the Warren Country Club, where it would be less crowded. The kids pool there was really nice. But I wasn't too thrilled about my swimsuit or the pool. Hmm, I didn't like the way the swimsuit clinged onto my body. So I cried and screamed when Mummy and Daddy tried putting on the costume for me.
When I was in the pool, I held on very tightly to Daddy. I also kept pointing to Mummy and wanted her to come into the water, but she couldnt because she did not have her swimming costume. So Daddy kept assuring me and he walked me slowly round and round the pool, until I finally felt more confident in the water and started walking in small steps.
Well, I think I will do better the next time.

Can you see my facial expressions? I didn't look too happy, did I?

Junior, when he was a baby
Mummy and Daddy bought Junior before I was born. He is also my Mummy and Daddy's baby and they love him a lot, always showering him with hugs and kisses. What makes Mummy and Daddy happy is that we get along so well. I love Junior and enjoy playing with him. I will tease him with his packet of treats and Junior will keep chasing after me. I get so thrilled when he barks at me and all the more I run faster and refuse to give in.
Well, here's a video-clip of Junior when he was a few months old. Mummy was having fun with him.

Walking the dog
My latest hobby - taking Junior for his walks and I will insist on holding on Junior's lease. Whoever offers to hold the lease, I will give a firm "NO!"

Getting ready for our walk. Junior, no peeing here. Hold it, we are going down now.

Watch me in action. See, I can control Junior so well. Ah, naughty Junior tried to get away. But of course, he will never escape from my "clutches".

Something caught my attention...
Mission accomplished!
Hey, watch me in the video.
June Babies
Who are the June babies? Make a guess. If you have read what I wrote in my earlier blogs, you would know the answer. Tah-dah... it's ME! ... and Grandma!
Let me share with you some of the pictures.
My birthday celebration was fun - relatives and friends came, sang me birthday song, gave me prezzies. What was exciting was Mummy and Daddy hired a Magician to do magic tricks and also make balloons for the kids.
For Grandma's birthday, we had a mini celebration among ourselves. We had a delicious seafood dinner at Jumbo Seafood at One Fullerton and we sang Grandma a birthday song at StarBucks

What's been keeping me busy?
June and July have been busy times for the family.
After we came back from Melbourne on 1 June, it was Grandma's 60th Birthday celebration on 3 June. 14 June was my 1 year old birthday party. And as 18 June was my actual birthday, Daddy and Mummy took time off from work to celebrate and to spend time with me.
After all the birthdays, Daddy was busy preparing for his PMP examinations (he passed and we were overjoyed!), while Mummy started packing things in the house into boxes, to get ready for the big. Once Daddy's exam was over, our packing went into full force as we had to move out on 18 July.
We have finally settled down into Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Pictures of my house - dearly missed
THEN - The house in its original state before the move
Have I ever shared why we are moving? I am the reason. Mummy and Daddy said they are doing this for me, mostly. Since I was born, Daddy would drive me, Mummy and Junior to Grandma's place at Choa Chu Kang. Mummy will head to work from there. At night, he will come over to pick us up to go home together. This happened from September to Feburary. Then in March, Mummy took over the driving. Of course she was tired because it was a looooong drive back and forth.
So... they think the wiser thing to do is to move nearer to Grandma's home. So that is why we are temporarily staying there before we find a house we all like.
