We miss the beach!

It's been a while since we went to the beach at East Coast Park.  Oooh, how we miss it! Mummy said it's because we've moved to Choa Chu Kang and it's too far from the beach. She said we used to go there more often when we were staying in Seng Kang.  So during the Christmas weekend, we decided to go there for breakfast and to take a stroll along the beach.  Ah-Yi, Uncle Bernard and Joshua came along too!

Sadly, we couldn't bring Junior along because we had to go somewhere else after our outing at the beach. Next time, Junior.

Helping myself to the breakfast... I love the harsh brown,
which is a surprise to Mummy

Time to burn the energy at the playground outside Macs... off I go..!

Here I come!

Coming closer...

And I'm here!

At the peephole... "Mummy, are you there?"

Daddy said every kid has a photo with Ronald Macdonalds.
So here's mine!

Mummy wants a shot with me and  Ronald too...

Now a stroll along the beach... that's uncle bernard holding me.

While Daddy is enjoying some time with cutie Joshie!

Hope we could spend a longer time at the beach the next time we visit.  I will definitely bring along my equipments for building a sandcastle.

Performing "Jack in the box"

Honing my performing skills.. singing "Jack in the box" which I learnt in school.  Mummy could only make out these lines "Jack in the box goes up, Jack in the box goes down. Jack in the box goes hop hop hop, then he turns around...".

And oh, I'm wearing my "Kok Kok" shoes (as Daddy calls it), a X'mas pressie from jiu-jiu and che-che Faith.  My wish come true.  Every weekend at United Square (where I go to for classes), we will walk past the shoe shop "Bata" and I will ask to go in to try on these "kok kok" shoes.

December Fun

December is coming to an end.  I've had so much fun this month... plus there was no school!

What I have done so far...

Well, I went swimming.  It has been a long time since I last swam.  Maybe almost half a year ago?  So I really enjoyed my swimming session this time.

Off for my morning swim. Thinking whether
to bring duckie... hey Junior, what are doing sniffiing at duckie!
At the pool, buying our entrance tickets.
Cheap - $0.80 for mine only!

All ready to take the plunge into the water.

Satisfied, after the swim...

Then Mummy and I had "art and craft" time together.  My music teacher wanted us to make our very own shaker.

So Mummy helped me with mine.  Ta-Dah! Our creation - Christmas Tree Shaker.  It's a mineral water bottle filled with red and green beans.  Of course I did do my part.  I helped to put the beans into the bottle, I chose the colours for trees and helped tear the strips, helped to stick the strips onto the bottle and also decided we should place a star on the top of the 'tree'.

Ariel's shaker

Then, the entire family also headed down to Orchard Road for dinner and also to take a stroll to see the beautiful Christmas lightings. Of course, we took a lot of pictures. But I wasn't very co-operative that night. The adults had to keep coaxing me. Guess wasn't in the mood for photograhs.

Me, camera shy?

Nowadays it's really hard to get a proper and nice shot of me.  I will either dodge when asked to smile or I will not smile nicely . It really all depends on my mood on that day.

Finally Mummy got this shot of me which she thinks it's nice. So we shall use this picture for my school because my new school needs 2 of our photographs, one of which is for us to mark our attendance.

Girls day out

Mummy took a few days off from work to spend time with me.

We started our first day of outing catching some shows at the mall.

I was really excited and looking forward to watching Sesame Street show at Plaza Singapura. Too bad information Mummy had was not accurate... show was already over.  We were both disappointed. So we settled for Yogi Bear show instead. Although I do not know who they are, I enjoyed the show just as much.

Yogi Bear will be on the big screen soon. Mummy promised
to take me to catch the movie.

Meet the bears... I was both excited and nervous
about meeting these huge figures
Next up...

The Strawberry Shortcake Show at Centrepoint.  The queue was long by the time we arrived, but we managed to get a pass for the Meet & Greet session.  This meant I would get to go on stage to say "Hello" to Strawberry Shortcake and her friends. Wow!

The show was really entertaining.  There were singing and dancing and the show ended with lots of sweet-smelling bubbles which filled the entire stage area. All the kids were ecstatic...

Got a good seat and waited patiently for the show to start.

See the Strawberry Shortcake and Friends...
I can't remember their names tho'

All eyes fixed on the show on stage...

Hi, you girls are really lovely!

After two rounds of shows and some shopping, Mummy and I were both tired.  We stopped over at our fave haunt - "Toast Box" for a cuppa milo and our fave breadie,  Floss Thick Toast and Peanut Thick Toast.   Can you believe it.  I managed to finished the entire cuppa milo.  Delicious!

Can't wait to savour the delicious warm milo
Slurps! Not much left for Mummy.

What a happy day!

Thank you, Mummy for spending the day with me. I enjoyed myself lots.  What's for the next few days?  Read on!

X'mas is here...

This year shall be my third Christmas. Every year, I grow to appreciate this special occasion more.

Now, I associate these with Christmas

Presents!
I browsed the Toys 'r'  Us brochure and pointed to the toys I like and told everyone what I would like as X'mas presents.  Let's see if I get any...

Songs
I now know songs like "Jingle Bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way..."; "Santa Claus is coming to town. He's making a list and checking it twice..."

Christmas Tree
Grandpa has a huge tree at home and so we do! Daddy and Mummy has just set up a beautiful X'mas tree at our new home.

Christmas @ Orchard
I've gone down to Orchard several times.  With Mummy and Daddy to buy X'mas gifts, with Grandma, Grandpa, Ah-Yi, Uncle Bernard and Joshua to stroll the Orchard belt and to take pictures.

What else have I missed? I'm sure I still need to learn the true meaning of Christmas! Shall find out soon...

Daddy turned xx years old some months back

The family gathered at MaMa Chin Restaurant for Daddy's birthday

A family picture... Smile!

After a very delicious dinner, time for the birthday cake. Yay, my favourite!

One way to make me look and smile for the camera is to say "Ahhhh...!" See, it worked!

A private celebration at home.

My birthday card to Daddy!

Let me read to you what I've written, Daddy.
We celebrated Daddy's Birthday some months back.

"Daddy, you are always my darling and I love you!  I hope you stay young, healthy and happy."

Dora

Dora Show at Raffles City.  We are no. 12 in the queue.
Not as crowded as the Barney Shows at United Square

Some sweets to keep me occupied while we queued.

Mummy asked me to give a smile... Not a good one.  Let's try again!

This is my next attempt at smiling.  Latest way of smiling...

Photo-taking with the gang, after their performance. I was actually frightened and
didn't want to go up the stage at first. After I saw many kids went up, I changed my mind, but Mummy had to carry me. I refused to walk on my own.

One cup of Ben & Jerry ice-cream after the show. Yummz!

Nothing to say but "Awesome!"

After the show, Mummy and I met up with Grandpa,Grandma, Jiu Jiu and his girlfriend for dinner.
I asked for a ride on jiu-jiu's shoulder. Fun!

There are lots of kiddy shows at the mall during this month.  Mummy promised to take me to some.  Our first - Dora show at Raffles City.  We made our way there after my music class. Daddy couldn't be with us that day as he had to work.

Mummy was so worried that there will be a long line of people, like the Barney show at United Square where people queued about 2 hours before the show.  So we were there before 3pm and to our surprise, there was no queue at all.  We even had time to shop! The queue started only about 3.30pm, so we didn't have to wait for long before the show started.

I enjoyed the show and meeting Dora, though I must admit I was kinda scared at first. I didn't stand up to dance like the rest of the older kids.  I also refused to go to the stage to meet Dora. Mummy finally convinced me too and I agreed after seeing the many kids who went up.

Our next show - Seasme Street!  Mummy will be on leave, so we have made a date to go. Yay!
