Shopping for a bed

It's a busy month for us as we are getting ready to move into our new house, just 6 floors above Grandma's house.  Yes, us on the 12th and Grandma on the 6th.

We went shopping for furniture for the house and also dropped by Ikea to look for suitable furniture for my room.  Whoa! I'm excited... I'm finally moving from my cot to a room of my own, with my own bed!

At Ikea, there were so many kiddie beds to choose from.  I landed on this bed and got all comfy in the bed.  Lucky me that Mummy and Daddy think well of this bed too.  So this shall be my bed.   It's arriving soon.... more pics coming your way, once the actual thing arrived and all set up in my room.

Conversations

After showering, Mom tried to dry my hair.  I walked away and so felt the hard pull as Mummy still held on to my hair.

I said, "Eh, Mummy don't pull my hair. Don't be so rude!"

Mummy was dumbfounded by such strong reaction from me.  She couldn't believe this was coming from her 2 years plus old daughter.

Mummy said during bedtime, "Ariel, sleep, Mummy has to go to work tomorrow."

Ariel, "No. Tomorrow is Sunday. Don't go to work because I love you."

Aww... those words melted Mummy's heart and she wished she really didn't have to go to work.

Me, manicurist?

Manicure?  Yes, I did it...  using marker pens!  Mummy laughed at me when she saw the state of my fingers.  After she had her share of laughter, she scolded me for doing that.  Quickly, she brought me to the toilet and scrubbed the colours off my nails.

Mummy is worried that I am growing up too fast, too soon.  I will take her make-up pouch, fiddle with the make-up gadgets.  Lip-stick, blusher, powder... I am all familiar with them and will attempt to apply them on my face.  I even dropped Mummy's foundation powder and the powder shattered into pieces.  You bet, Mummy was so angry with me for that.

Music begins with me...

Starting this month, I am attending music classes at Mandeville Music School.  It's a Baby Music Class, for toddlers 2-3 years old.

Lesson is every Saturday for 45 mins.  Mummy gets to go in with me and there are about 10 children in the class.  The music teacher will play some songs on the piano and we will sing and dance along with the music.  We also play on simple musical instruments and learn some simple music theory.

==============================================

Baby Music Course:

Every kid is musical and creative.

Kids make music—by singing and tapping, by playing around on instruments, or by playing with others in an ensemble. Kids create music—even a kid as young as 2 years old can and do improve their own music.
When the kids develop their abilities to make and create music, they will develop their intelligence and enrich their lives forever.

Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to expose the children to all facts of music, before embarking on specialized courses in piano, violin or any other instrument.

Music concepts are taught using a combination of colourful visual props, real instruments, lots of drama-pretending, art and craft materials, games as well as live and recorded music performances.
The children are also trained in performance skills so that they may display their newfound knowledge in the many concert opportunities offered at Mandeville.

Course Objective:
· To explore the fascinating world of music through fun and play
· To develop social skills and self-esteem through group interaction
· To encourage musicianship through regular ad-hoc performances
· To stand out and be heard!

Books I enjoy reading

This is one of my favourite books "The Little Princess - I want my potty."

It coincided with my potty training, so Mummy bought it to encourage me for doing well in my toilet training.

It is a very interesting book about this little princess who is cute and also mischievous, just like me. Almost every night, I make Mummy read the book to me. On some nights, she makes excuses and gets Daddy to read instead.  And for some nights, both are too tired and do not want to read to me...

Just look...there are so many more titles.  I pestered Mummy to buy the other books in the "Little Princess" series for me.

We tried Borders, but couldn't find. Mummy searched online and finally found out that Kinokuniya carries several of the titles.

As the books are rather pricey (more than $16 for each book).... Mummy said I could only choose 2 books to buy.  She promised that we will buy the others the next time.

So these are the 2 books I chose!
