Ariel's live performance

Mummy and Daddy took a video of me performing.  Not as clear as the DVD which they bought from the school, but they loved it all the same.  They are simply proud of their little girl's debut performance.

The hectic month of November...

Wow, how fast, the year is coming to an end.   But before we move into the festive month of December, I want to share about all the fun-filled activities we had in this month of November.

5 Nov, Sat : We visited Papa's army camp after his reservist training.

Left to right - Me, Joshie and Jerry, all in the camp to visit
our daddies.

And here's a picture with our hunky daddies in their uniform.

Joshie and I shared a loving moment, despite the heat.
6 Nov, Sun : Mummy and Daddy brought me to watch a Disney Musical at Marina Bay Sands Grand Theatre. It was a great show with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Ariel the Mermaid, Aladdin and Jasmine and Woody from the Toy Story.  We ended the night with a yummy-licious (and expensive!) dinner at TWG.

11 Nov, Fri :  Joshie and I attended a 1 year old birthday party at Changi.

12 Nov, Sat :  After music lesson, we headed to Auntie Aniza's house and had loads of fun with all the kiddos - Nazura, Danish, Aqil, Tanya and Tessa.

18 Nov, Fri : My school concert!  My debut dance performance with some of my Pre-Nursery friends, held at Nanyang Girls' High.  The item is called "Tang Yuan".

All dressed up in my dance costume. I was really thrilled aout
being about to put on make-up.

The Pre-Nursery were the first to perform

Can you see me? I am in the first row, the 5th person from the left.

All performers gathered on stage for the last item, a song item called "Kinderland Song"

19 Nov, Sat :  We attended Mummy's good friend, Auntie Cheryl's wedding. I enjoyed myself because Tanya and Tessa che-che were both there, and there was a magician who entertained the kids in a special room, throught the night.

20 Nov, Sun :  Daddy's friend invited us to the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands for the Titanic Museum.  I didn't understand much of it, but the adults were definitely in awe.  Well, I had fun with Cheyanne che-che.  After the tour of the museum, we headed to an indoor playground at Marina Bay Sands.

Yay! It's Children's Day!

Children's Day - Definitely a special day for all kiddos like me!  Besides a party in school, prezzies from teachers... Mummy and Ah-yi brought me and Joshie to East Coast Park.  We had a yummy breakfast at Burger King and after breakfast, we adjourned to Polliwogs, the indoor playground to sweat it out.  Mummy also treated me to a scoop of delicious chocolate ice-cream.

A friend we befriended there...

More about Ballet

How time flies...  I am already more than 1 month into my ballet class. I have made significant improvements.  Hee... I mean because I no longer cry or wail when Mummy is not in class with me. She can now wait for me outside of the classroom.  Mummy and Daddy are so happy and so proud of me.

My first Harley Tee from Bali

Papa loves Harley Davidson. Whenever we are on holiday, he will always try to look for the Harley Davidson shop and will buy home some of their tees.

At Bali, he was delighted to have found the Harley Davidson outlet.  Other than buying for himself, he bought me a tee too!  But look at me... I don't look the least bit happy or excited about my new outfit.  My reply when he wanted me to try it on, "Papa, girls cannot wear blue."  ooh... Mummy said she has never taught me to stereotype the gender this way.

Post-Bali : Mozzie bites

Look at what happened to my face after our holiday in Bali. My face was invaded by fierce mozzie bites, that I was almost disfigured!  Somehow they loved my face, and bit me over all there, and none on other parts of my body.

We saw a doctor who gave me antiseptic cream and antibiotics to consume to treat the bites.  Everywhere I went, people looked at me...  Thank God! I am much better now.  Scars are almost all gone!

I asked Mummy why the mozzies had bitten me so badly, but not Joshie? Mummy said this, "Because the mozzies in Bali love little girls like me!"

Improved version of "Mary had a little lamb"

I can now play "Mary had a little lamb" a lot better now.  Do we practice on the piano everyday? No, we try to practice every other day.  There are days when Mummy is too tired after work, and we will take a break from our practice session.

Ariel plays "Mary had a little lamb"

How is my piano (or keyboard) class going? So far so good.  I am learning new notes every week.  I have learnt to play notes like "C, D, E, A and B".  Music class is fun.  Miss Loh, my music teacher makes the lesson very interesting.  We sing songs, we learn about the notes in a fun way, and each time we play on the keyboard, we get a sticker.

Watch me play "Mary had a little lamb".  I am still learning to play as well as read the notes, so Mummy has to help me.

Ballet

We see little girls in their cute pink ballet frocks and we thought "how cute they look!".  So Mummy decided to fulfill her little wish of seeing me dressed in this sweet attire and dancing gracefully.

To her delight, Mummy found a ballet school - "Ballet and Music Company" which is located just minutes away from home. What was even more ideal (to Mummy) was the timing of the lesson.  There were evening classes on Fridays and Mummy could take me to class after she returns from work. We attended the trial class and after the class, I said with such conviction that I wanted to join and so we enrolled for it and bought the costume (mind you.. they are really pricey!) - everyone was in pink, so I had pink undies, pink leotards, pink shoes, pink skirt, pink tights.

Boy was I nervous before the first lesson (on 21 September,Friday).  Mummy assured me that she would sit in the class to accompany me since it was my first time.  But I became really cranky, and changed my mind about going. I refused to put on my costume, complained I was tired, said I wanted to stay home etc.  Mummy was so mad with me and she had so much difficulty in coaxing me. Finally she managed to put a stop to my wailing and she promised to reward me if I were well-behaved. So the agreement - I had to stop crying, I had to enjoy the class and I wiould be treated with fries and ice-cream after the class.

During the lesson,  I was still feeling panicky. Took me a while to warm up and to be willing to join my little friends.  But it all turned out well, I was so proud of myself and kept telling Mummy "I didn't cry. Only a bit."

Some pictures to share with you. Mummy will snap nicer ones at the next lesson...

I'm going to be a che-che!

Drawing my favourite - people. And this time, my family.

Look what I drawn. Mummy helped to label the names.

I am going to be a "che-che",  a real one to my own baby sister, my own mei-mei (tho' I am already a che-che to Joshie,my cousin).  How exciting! Mummy and Daddy have been preparing me for my new role. Well, I guess the real test comes when mei-mei arrives.

For now,  I will remember mei-mei in my bedtime prayers. I pray that God bless her to be well.  And some of the things which I cannot use anymore, like my shoes which I have outgrown, I will say,"Mummy,  keep this for mei-mei. She can wear."  and "Mummy, when mei-mei comes, mei-mei can sit in my stroller and I will push her." oooh, how sweet, Mummy thought!

My first four-wheeled bicycle?

Choice 1

Choice 2.
Can you see the difference between the 2?

Nah.. this is kinda small and looks more for boys.

This toy car is really cool. All the kids esp the boys
were taking turns to step into the car. Guess the price - $800++!

Do I look cool? I bet I do!  One of weekends this month, Daddy was in Melbourne for a training and it was a girls' day out at Vivocity.  Guess what we were up to? Mummy and I had our retail therapy session, and treated ourselves to yummy gelato too.

At Toys "r" us,  I fell in love this this 4-wheeled bicycle. Almost wanted Mummy to buy it right away.  Of course, we didn't.  Mummy promised to show it to Daddy when he is back to 'approve' the bicycle.  I couldn't wait and asked to speak to Daddy on the phone about it.  He promised he will buy for it if I were a good girl. Ah! That's easy... I am always a good girl.

Will let you know when the bicycle has become mine.  So looking forward...

Bintain getaway in July

Over a weekend in July, we took a short trip to Bintan Lagoon (my last trip to Bintan was about 1 year ago in Mar 2010).  Uncle Bernard booked a villa, and invited us over.  Grandma, Grandpa, Joshie, Ah-Yi and Uncle Bernard stayed there from Friday-Monday but Mummy, Daddy and I only went over for the weekend.  Well, we had a short but enjoyable time together with everyone.  For both days there, we spent time at the beautiful beach with soft sand, and also swam in the pool.

One of the things I love most was the buggy.  It was our mode of transport from the villa to the different parts of the resort.

2 bedroom villa where we stayed

8-seater buggy which came with the villa

Everyone loved travelling around in the buggy, even
though the journey from point to point is very short.

At the beach, fun with the sand.

Then at the swimming pool.

Day 2 - at the beach

Guess what Daddy was trying to build?

An airport with a runway.. Wow!

I loved seating on this swing
Steamboat and buffet dinner.  I was fast asleep...
on Mummy's lap, so you can't see me.
