Drawing faces

Mummy and Daddy bought me this white-board  (which can be turned into a table) for my 3rd birthday.  I love drawing on this board.

Look at my draw this picture...  Mummy thought it was a really cute one, especially since it was her first time seeing me draw this.

Another attempt to show my masterpiece.

Performing "Zu Mian Tiao"

My first, and I believe many of my friends' first time performing to a crowd.  Though we weren't all singing, all parents were proud of us for trying.  The chet's hat and cooking ladle were all made from scratch.  Don't we look cute!

Project Open House at Kinderland

At the end of Term 2 (end of May), all parents were invited to school for a Project Open House. All the children performed a song, related to the theme of their project work.

For my class - we learnt about flour and what are the uses of flour.  My Chinese teacher - Mao Lao Shi showed us how she made 'ban tiao' (noodles in Chinese), 'man tou' (bread in Chinese).  We also did a lot of art and craft work related to flour.  It was really fun!F

For English,  Ms Koh taught us about "Cars".  We had to bring a toy car to school for "Show and Tell".  We also brought a tissue box to school to make and decorate our own car.

Mummy and Daddy enjoyed the morning in school that day.  They watched me perform and also went to my classes to see all my wonderful works.

Mummy asked my teachers how I was in class.  They said I am a good girl, behaves well and will say "Sorry" if I was in the wrong.  They also said I generally learn well too.. but when I know my stuffs, I tend to switch off. Oops...!

This is my Chinses class.

My plate of food, specially created using clay.

This is where I place my bag every day when I go to school.

My classmate, Sophia, who also takes the same school bus as me.

My bowl of mian tiao.

My very own Chef's hat.

Display of all our art pieces.

Here in my English class, I'm showing off my car.

All our painting... Can you spot mine?

Here's mine - my painted car!

Dancing on the kitchen top

One of the days which I was in the mood for some dancing... And I was showing off my moves on the kitchen top.

Counting 1 to 10 in Mandarin

It has been half a year since I started school in Kinderland. Mummu and Daddy think the Chinese classes have been useful. I'm starting to speak from Mandarin, sing more Mandarin songs.

I'm also able to count 1 to 10 in Mandarin. But my accent still sounds a little strange... Mummy and Daddy think I sounded like an ang moh (caucasian) speaking in Mandarin, and they couldn't help laughing at me.  But with more practice, I will be fine in no time.

Putting on my own socks

Oh this is one of my first few attempts in putting on socks all by myself.  Going to school has made me more independent.  My teacher, Mrs Boh, has been teaching me in school how to put on my socks, so here I am showing it to Mummy how I do it.

Cold Storage Kids Run

Another year older, and also my 2nd time running in the Cold Storage Kids' Run. It was such a hot Sunday morning at the Padang that I wasn't in the best of mood for a run.

Another interesting thing - Mummy discovered only the night before that I have been given the wrong name tag.  So instead of "Ariel Tai".... I became "Ashley Tan".  How funny!

On our way to the Padang.

The shades helped! Otherwise, I could hardly
keep my eyes open.

This is the waiting area, before the run begins.

Only 1 parent is allowed to run with each child...
so Papa will go with me.

The heat is getting into me.  I didn't want to run,
wanted to be carried. Mom joined in with me
mid-way (or mabbe less than midway) to encourage me to walk.

So we walked throughout...

Finally, at the finishing point.

Not too thrilled even after receiving the medal.

We did it!
