Kite Flying at Marina Barrage

We have organized several outings to the Marina Barrage to fly our kite. But too bad, the weather has not been kind to us, and it rained so heavily whenever we planned to go there. Finally, we decided to try again on Good Friday holiday on 6 April 2012. 


I was so excited and woke up early in anticipation of the outing. Everyone woke up early too, and we were all happy to see Mr Sun shining brightly up in the sky. We got ready very quickly and just when we were making our way out of the house..... Thunder rumbled in the skies... Lightening struck, and not before long... the rain drops trickled down.  Oh no!!  Since we were already in the car, and about to make our way off, we decided to go ahead with our plan, hoping it would not be raining at Marina Barrage.  As we drove, the rain became heavier and heavier and we knew it was impossible to fly our kite.  We ended up at Vivo City for lunch... Guess what? Thankfully the rain stopped after we had eaten. Yay! So off to Marina Barrage we went..

Staycation story continues...

Day 2 of our stay at Festive Hotel...

The highlight of our stay - Universal Studios.  We had a good time, but pity we didn't have a chance to finish going around the entire place (even though it was not all that huge). You know why? I came down with high fever in the wee hours of the morning and also suffered from diarrhoea. Not sure why too.  So Daddy went out to buy me medicine from 7-11, and fortunately my fever subsided after taking the Panadol for kids, else I would not have made it to swim or to play at USS. But well, as I was not completely well and kept wanting to sit in the stroller, so  Mummy and Daddy decided not to stay out too long.  Another time then... when Alyna is older and is able to enjoy the place too.

Staycation at Festive Hotel

Since Alyna is still so young, and we can't travel out of the country, Mummy and Daddy decided to organize a staycation before Mummy goes back to work. Where to? Festive Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa from 25 - 26 Mar 2012.  We visited the MEM or Maritime Experiential Museum and Universal Studios. It was a short but great time away from home. I wished it could have been longer!

Here are highlights of Day 1 of our stay.

Just a 1 night stay... but we had so much to bring, as if we
were off for several days of trip.

We also visited the MEM museum. Before touring
the museum, we sat down for a 5 min introductory show.

We would be visitng the Universal Studios the next day. Yahoo!
