To Master, Grow and Serve

To Master, Grow and Serve - the motto of Mummy's secondary school - Methodist Girls' School or MGS for short.

The school now sits at Blackmore Drive, along Bukit Timah Road.  But the original site of the school at Mount Sophia (at Orchard Road) will soon be replaced with other buildings.

Mummy studied there from Sec 1 to Sec 4.  But halfway through her Sec 4 years, just 6 months before she took her "O" level examinations,  the entire school moved to the current site at Bukit Timah.

So Mummy brought Alyna and I to visit the school for a visit on 3 June 2012 to reminisce the good ole past.  And you know something, we will in the future be going to the school too...

Mummy said this "man" was never part of the school.

The clock tower which has a rich history - there since
the day the school was built!

Behind us - Mummy's sec 3 and 4 classrooms

The wall with many notes - many present and past girls
of MGS writing their thoughts about the school, to petition  for
the conservation of the school buildings. Hopefully, but sadly not possible

Where the canteen used to be.

Cutie pie Alyna at 5 mth old, took refuge in the car
after our stroll in the school.

Mummy's buddy - Aunty Cheryl came along to.
She was carrying her baby girl - Elisabeth who was only
2 month old then.

Just random...

The random things we do at home - making poses for the camera!  It's fun to just let our hair down and be crazy sometimes.

Pony tails anyone?

Alyna is blessed with headful of hair from the time she was born.  Her hair has grown longer now, but she has also shed much of her hair.

Mummy is fretting whether or not to give her hair a trim.  But for now, she can do with two little pony tails, which I think look very cute on her.

Highlights of Alyna @ 7 months

At 7 months, Alyna especially liked showing her signature "angry bird" expression.  Whenever she flashed that look, it would make every one at home burst into giggles because she simply looked so adorable.

.
Another achievement at 7 month is being able to sit up. So we are now able to put her on a high-chair and on the shopping trolley! Congrats, meimei! That means you can now join us at meal times. But it also means workout time for every one of us because she is fond of throwing things we give her (to play) off the table.

You've got MAIL!

It started when I found stamps in the drawer and asked what stamps are used for.  Mummy explained to me we do with stamps and it is simple - for mailing cards and letters.

Mummy also showed me where I should place the stamp on the envelope and that for my card or letter to reach my friend, I have to write the address on the envelope so Mr Postman knows where to deliver it to. Wow!

I became so excited and immediately flashed out my drawing paper and started drawing pictures for my friend. Decided to give it to Marsya che-che, as I haven't seen her for a while.

I'm all set to send my letter off.

Here goes.  Slot it into the hole, said Dad.

It was a tad too high, so Dad gave a hand.

Off it went..  Mr Postman will take over from here!
Mummy helped me make an envelope (because the usual sized ones cannot fit my huge card, she said.)   Then Mummy brought me to the mailbox to post the letter.  She explained that Sunday was an off day for Mr Postman. So he would only collect the mails on Monday to deliver them to the different houses.

After the letter was posted out, I couldn't stop asking Mummy if Marsya che-che had received my mail.  Two days after, she did! Yay!  Hope you liked it, Marsya che-che!

A Hatty Affair

What do you think the hat look on us? So far it has been put into good use, at least for Alyna. Mummy and Grandma wear it on her to keep her hair down, and to keep it place when her hair is messy and it works!

Mission completed - Lego House is up!

We took several weeks to 'construct' our dream house.  Credit goes to Mummy who worked hard to help me complete it.  Well, not forgetting to mention I was constantly nagging at her that I wanted to do up the house, so she had no choice but to relent.

But Mummy enjoyed piecing up every corner of the house too, she said!  Wonder if we would ever have a chance to enjoy living in such a house.  For now, we Thank God our haven @ CCK.

Belated update about Ariel's goody 4th!

These were all my prezzies - how blessed I am!

Joshie wanted to have a share of the prezzies too.

My fairy dress from Mummy

Time to unwrap my prezzies. I was so excited to lay hands
on each of them.

Part 1 of house done!

It's been 3 months since I turned 4 in June. These 3 months have been such busy times that I have forgotten to share about my birthday celebrations.
