Our first cruise over National Day holiday

Mummy craved so much for a holiday since Alyna was born.  Afterall the last overseas holiday was our vacation to Bali in September 2011, when Mummy was 5 months preggy with Alyna.

Hmm... Mummy wondered where was a suitable destination especially since Alyna is still so young.   It has to be somewhere baby-friendly, somewhere not too hot (Alyna is afraid of the heat!).  So we decided on the CRUISE!  All activities were confined to the ship, and if we were tired, or when Alyna needs to rest, we could easily head back to our cabin. Viola!

We set off on over the National Day holiday from 8 - 10 August (Wed - Fri).  It was a 3D2N cruise to Kuala Lumpur.  We boarded the ship on Wednesday at 9pm, and we arrived back in Singapore on Friday at 12pm.

I was totally excited simply at the sight of the huge ship! Wow! I felt upset that the trip was such a brief one. I told Mummy and Daddy that I was I had more time on the ship.

We all had a good time, but I think Mummy and Daddy were dead beat having to manage the 2 kiddos.

Another down side - our cabin (one with a window) was too small and cramped for a family of 4.  Daddy said next time, we should get a room with a balcony.

What were some of the highlights of the trip,

Day 1 (Wednesday night)

After we settled into our cabin,  we headed for a late dinner at a Chinese restaurant for a 6 course dinner.  Then we enjoyed a magic show at the theatre, before we call it a night.

Day 2 (Thursday)

After our brekkie, we headed for a swim! It was fun!  After the swim, we had to wash up very quickly to get ready to disembark for our KL tour.  We chose the tour which took us to Mid-Valley Mall.  We spent most of the day there, and by the time we boarded the ship, it was already 8pm.  We had dinner on board, and again, after the dinner, we headed to the theatre for some musical cum acrobatic show.

After the show, we joined in the National Day celebration at the open deck, and enjoyed some chocolate pastries. Couldn't bear to go back to the cabin to rest, we checked out the arcade and played some games before we called it quits for the day.  By the time we washed up and slept, it was close to 2am!

Day 3 (Friday)

Time to bid farewell!  The ship arrived in Singapore at 12noon.  We spent the morning taking a stroll around the ship and played our last games at the arcade.

Day 1:  Just after we boarded,
we took a stroll on the open deck of the ship.  It was so cool and nice!

Night view of the Vivo-city, Harbour Front area - Nice!

Tis was our room, and how us kids slept. Mummy and Daddy arranged us adjacent to each other,
using stacks of blankies.

Day 2 :  Rise and Shine!

Lobby area.  Popular spot for photo-taking, so we had to take a picture too.

Day 2: At KL, we chose the tour which took us to Mid-Valley Mega Mall. By the time we reached the mall, it was already 2pm,  Late lunch, and we were famished. Had some food before we conquered the mall.

We had about 3++ hours to shop, but we didn't have much to buy (according to my dear Mummy and Daddy, things weren't cheap at the mall). Bus ride took about 1 hr . At 8pm, I was time to board the ship.

As it was Singapore's National Day, the ship's crew organized a party on the open deck. There was a chocolate buffet! Though we were all so tired (as it was already close to mid-nite),  we decided to join in the fun. Besides, it was our last night on the cruise.

As you can see, Alyna was already sounded asleep in her stroller.

And after the party, we headed to the arcade for some games.

Day 3 :   Buffet breakfast...
