Belated update (12) : Alyna's new doggie friend name "Boo"

Alyna is fond of animals, especially dogs.  So Jiu-Jiu bought Alyna a doggie soft-toy which is called "Boo".  It is replicate of a real dog.  Go check it out, the soft-toy version looks exactly like the real dog!

Alyna is so fond of Boo, that she can now call out 'Boo, Boo' and points at Boo whenever we ask her 'Where is Boo Boo?'

And did you notice that Alyna had teeth in these pictures?  @ 10 month old, she already has both her bottom 2 front teeth.  According to my Mummy,  I had teeth a bit later than Alyna.

Belated update (11) : Year-end Concert 2012

The year in School always wraps up with a nice concert, and 2012 was no different.  All Nursery children had to perform, just like the K1 and K2 children.  Again like in the Year 2011 (when I was in N1), I performed a chinese dance.  The concert was held in the auditorium of Methodist Girls' School and Mummy was especially excited because that was where she had studied and she hasn't been back since she graduated eons ago.Well, if all goes well, it would be where Alyna and I will be studying too. 

I was also fortunate to have a big group of supporters this year!  Joshie, Uncle Bernard, Ah-Yi, Faith che-che and Jiu Jiu all came to watch me perform... And Joshie even presented me with a stalk of rose at the end of my performance. Whoa, how sweet of him!

Belated update (10) : Papa's Birthday

Papa turned another year older on 19 Sep 2012.  

We had a nice Japanese meal together as a family at Papa's fave Jap Restaurant - Sushi Tei.  and on Papa's actual birthday,  Papa and Mummy went out on a date, just the 2 of them.  A breakfast date to be exact.  They headed to Prive at Keppel Bay.  Food looked yummilicious!

Belated update (9) : School outing on the Singapore River Cruise

In October 2012,  my school organized an outing to the Singapore River Cruise, and Mummy came along too!

I enjoyed the boat ride, as it was my first time, and it was so fun to be out with my classmates.

Belated update (8) : Up on the Hippo Bus

We often see these Hippo buses plying on the roads, and it looks so fun to be seated on the open top upper deck of the bus.

Finally, Mummy made my wish come true! During the September (2012) week-long holiday, we took a ride on the Hippo Bus with Joshie and Ah-Yi. We chose the route that took us around Orchard area.  It was so FUN! But guess what, Joshie was kinda frightened, and he fell asleep throughout the bus ride, and woke up only after we arrived back at the bus terminal at Suntec City!  Oh yes, Alyna didn't join us as she was a bit too young (just 8 month old then) to enjoy or to appreciate the ride. 

Belated update (7) : Papa headed to Melbourne in September

Papa headed to Melbourne in September 2012.  That was his 5th trip to Melbourne since we were last there together in the year 2008, together as a family.  Papa headed there himself.. and in November, we went there together (again for Papa!) for a family vacation.  And that was Alyna's first REAL holiday! Look out for my update on how the holiday was for us.

We sent Papa off at the airport, and also welcomed him home from the airport! Well, outings to the airport is always something we look forward to.

Belated update (6) : Alyna crawls

Alyna started crawling when she was coming close to being 10 month old. 

It was exciting to watch her go on her 'fours', and my baby sister was definitely enjoying every moment of her new-found freedom, and there was no turning back.  She is crawling so fast now, that we have to keep our watchful eyes on her.  In fact, she has already turned 1 year old and we are now anticipating when she will start to walk on her own.  It should be anytime SOON because she has already taken baby steps to walk without any help.  Yea, just about 2 steps on her own, before she goes down on her fours again.

According to Mummy and Grandma,  Alyna did not enjoy being in her walker as much as I did.  Well, we may be sisters, but we are special and different in our own ways.

Belated update (5) : Alyna's FIRST haircut

Before we forget all the important first moments of Alyna's... we had better jot them down on this blog.  So let's see... when did Alyna have her first haircut?  It was in October 2012, when she was 9 month old.  We brought her to the kiddy hairsalon at United Square.  Alyna was seated on Mummy's lap, and she was totally cooperative and allowed the Auntie to trim her hair.  It was a pricey cut @ $25! But well, since it was Alyna's virgin cut, Mummy said let's go for a good cut!

After the cut, Papa felt Alyna looked a little weird... Hee! 

Belated update (4) - Children's Day 2012

Children's Day -  Mummy and Aunty Siti organized a girls' day out for Marsya and me.  Alyna joined us too!  Programme for the day included lunch at Swensons, Manicure and play session at Aunty Siti's house!  Well, if you asked me... I enjoyed the manicure session tremendously! Mummy reminded me that it was a special occasion, so she is making it an exception for me to colour my nails... if not, it is something only BIG girls are allowed to do.  

And Mummy also ordered some very nice cookies, as children's day gifts for my kiddy friends in school.

Couldn't wait for the nail polish to dry! Heart was racing...
