Hong Kong - Day 2 (18 Feb)

Day 2 (18 Feb 11)

Everyone had a really good rest after a tiring Day 1.

In the morning, we treated ourselves to a scrumptious dim sum breakfast.  Then we headed to Stanley Market.  How did we get there?  Well, we took the MTR from Jordan to Central and then a direct bus to Stanley Market. The train ride was fast... but it was long walk from the Central MTR to the Bus Terminal, where we had to take our bus.  Good thing we took the express bus, so the journey to Stanley Market was much faster than expected.

We had an enjoyable time at Stanley Market.  Weather there was cool and it was a relaxing place to hang out.

Our small and messy room. Daddy created a 'bed'
on the floor for me.  A bigger space then being in a cot
or on the bed. I had a comfy night rest!

Mummy had a hard time waking me up.

Finally, more awake and my eyes could open.

After washing up, I was charged up and ready to go!

Look, look.. My new doctor toy set bought
from Ladies Street the night before

Where we had our breakfast, just a stone's throw
from our hotel

While waiting for seat.

Papa smiled at the thought of the delicious dim-sum

I love the congee and char sao pau! Yummz!

Taking a train to Central... just a few stops away.

We took the express bus 260.

I slept on the bus. So woke up feeling grouchy.

Shopping for shades.

This one?

Or this?

Or this?

We made our choice - this shall be the one!

Papa wanted me to put on the hat as it was
pretty chilly.  Guess what - we bought this
when I was in Melbourne.  Then I was only 11 mth old
Yep, still can wear.

Lunch! Fish and Chips for Mummy and me.

Hamburger for Daddy!
We spent the entire afternoon at Stanley Market.  Took a bus back to Central at about 4pm in the afternoon. As usual,  I slept on the return bus journey.   So what did we do for the evening... read on...

After Stanley Market, we headed to Victoria Peak in the evening. I fell asleep and so Daddy and Mummy took turns to carry me.  From the bus terminal at Central, we walked to Central Pier (15 mins walk) to catch the bus that would take us to the Peak Tram Station. We had been warned that weather was foggy, and we might not have a good view at the Peak.  But we still went ahead as the programme was packed for the next few days already.

At Central Pier

Queuing for the tram

Look at the long queue of people

It was so foggy that we couldn't see a thing!
Felt like we were in the midst of clouds.

Still we had fun :)

We didn't spend a long time at the Peak.  Just a short tour around the place and we left. But the queue for the Peak Tram down was so long, we queued for almost half-an-hour.
